Attorney Adam E. Carr

Adam E. Carr founded Carr Law Office, LLC in 2005. He is board-certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in civil trial advocacy.

Adam represents large and small companies, insurers, and people who require a legal defense in serious personal injury cases based on auto, bus, truck, premises, and other accidents; contracts and business disputes; premises liability; products liability; real estate and construction litigation; and other issues requiring the intervention of an experienced trial lawyer.

He has served as lead trial attorney from jury selection through verdict in hundreds of days of trial, litigated more than ten thousand civil cases, resolved disputes in thousands of mediations, and submitted hundreds of appellate briefs.

Adam practices throughout the State of Ohio, with court appearances in 71 of Ohio’s 88 counties. He has tried cases in 17 different counties, and has argued before 10 different appellate courts within Ohio, including 8 Ohio courts of appeal, the Supreme Court of Ohio, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

In 2005, Adam wrote three chapters of the first edition of the leading treatise on Ohio tort law, published by Westlaw.

In 1993, he received an American Jurisprudence award in appellate practice.

Memberships

He served on the Civil Litigation and Procedure Specialty Board for the CLM Journal of American Law from 2013-2015. He is also a member of the DRI- the Voice of Defense Bar; the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys (OACTA); the Cleveland Association of Civil Trial Attorneys (CACTA); the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators (Ohio Board 2016-2018); and the bar associations for Ohio, Akron and Lake County.

Education & Personal Life

Adam graduated from University School (1986) in Hunting Valley, Ohio, earned his B.A. degree from Rice University (1990), and received his J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (1993).

He lives in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio with his wife and two children.

Charitable involvements include:

2000-present: Fund Co-Manager for the Colin James Carr Endowment Fund, which supports bereavement services and programs at the Akron Children’s Hospital Haslinger Family Center for Pediatric Palliative Care.
